Exhibition June 5th - July 10th

Artists from the Lehigh Art Alliance have painted plein air during the whole month of May, in and around Nazareth, Pennsylvania. This LAA event culminates with an exhibition in June at the Nazareth Center for The Arts with part of the proceeds to benefit NCA. 

Plein Air is the practice of painting scenes from life in the open air to capture the essence of light effects. The French Impressionists coined the term, but working from life outdoors has been long held as an integral aspect of art education. Painting from life adds immediacy and energy to the pieces created, either as a stand alone work of art, or as a study for a future studio work. Dedicated students of Art know the value and truly enjoy the challenge of working "En Plein Air".
